Carrier and Oils for Aromatherapy Massage:Blending:Product Manufacture
Pure and Natural Carrier oils
These oils are used as the base to an aromatherapy blend and are called "Carrier Oils" or "Base Oils". They are used to dilute the essential oils or perfumes so that they are safe to use on the skin. Excellent general purpose base oils are fractionated coconut, soya and sweet almond. To make a skin blend, you would normally use 5 drops of essential oil to every 10ml of base oil.
